It has been quite few months ago this project has been in the works and I can finally reveal it!
Toni & Guy for their new haircare collection, approached me as part of the Hair Meet Wardrobe campaign with "Blogged and Bound" project that features and profiles 20 Australian Bloggers. Each one of us, had an individual photo shoot (which will appear with a write up in a limited edition coffee table book) incorporating Toni & Guy's new hair range plus a short film created individually through our different blogging lifestyles. It was a great experience, learning to be in front of the camera not just for photographs, but on video as well. I am so honoured to be able to be a part of this project.
You might not have known, but my hair is quite wavy/curly and often have to straighten it as it does becomes too untamed. This is what the Toni & Guy team had thought too, that my hair was easy straight, but when I arrived, as we were told to have our hair natural and washed, they discovered my hair was totally different to how they had perceived it through my images on my blog. In turn, we decided that we would create an asymmetrical look, making it a tad more wavy and curly. It was great to see how different it is. Quite interesting what a few products, clips and bands can do!
I think it's great that this project involved such diverse range of bloggers as the reach of readers are diverse as well, bringing together how our hair is an extension of our wardrobe to us all.
I was nervous to see how the end result came out and am quite impressed. The people I worked with from video and photography were easy and enjoyable with, especially the filming crew who were so accommodating. I must take this opportunity to thank Jesse, James, Vickey, Luke, Nicole, Tahlia, Mandy and everybody else I have forgotten to mention that has made this all possible, including everyone who participated in my video.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE the end result!! Been waiting to see this, you must be so proud! BIG congrats Darren, such a super star. And yes, I like how your hair remained wavy/curly and not dead straight for this look.
